Becoming the Woman You Once Needed
Every woman on a healing journey has asked at some point:
“Who am I now?”
“How do I rebuild when I feel so lost?”
“Is it too late for me to become the woman I was meant to be?”
If you’ve asked those questions, know this: you are not behind—you are on your way home to yourself.
At Awaken Your Lioness, we believe the most powerful transformation happens when a woman begins becoming the version of herself she always needed—strong, tender, wise, and free.
Why This Journey Feels So Hard
When you’ve been through trauma, addiction, or incarceration, you’ve likely learned how to survive—how to perform, protect, or numb. But becoming the woman you needed is not about performance—it’s about returning to your truth.
It requires:
Letting go of shame
Tending to your inner child
Unlearning survival patterns
Reclaiming your voice and boundaries
Reimagining your life from the inside out
Who Was the Woman You Needed?
Pause for a moment and ask yourself:
What did you need when you were hurting?
What did you long for in the middle of your pain?
What kind of love, safety, or strength did you crave?
Now… can you become her?
How to Begin Becoming Her
You don’t have to wait until you're “fully healed” to show up as the woman you once needed. You can start now.
1. Reflect on Her Qualities
Was she calm? Fierce? Safe? Nurturing? Clear? Write down what made her powerful—and start practicing those qualities, even if it’s messy at first.
2. Parent Your Inner Child
Be the one who shows up. Speak kindly to yourself. Set healthy limits. Give yourself permission to rest, play, and dream again.
3. Let Go of Who You Had to Be to Survive
You were shaped by survival—but you are not bound by it. You get to choose who you become now.
4. Live With Intention
Start creating the life that aligns with her values. One decision, one day at a time.
You Are the Answer to Your Own Prayer
Becoming the woman you once needed doesn’t mean becoming perfect. It means becoming real. Aligned. Awake. Free.
She already lives within you—she’s just waiting for you to come home.
