How My Faith in God Fuels My Mission to Empower Women

As I reflect on my life’s journey and the mission that fuels my work at Awaken Your Lioness Spirit, there is one constant that has guided me through every challenge, every triumph, and every moment of uncertainty—my faith in God. It’s this unshakable belief in a higher purpose, in God’s plan for my life, that has empowered me to walk alongside women who are on their path of healing and transformation.

Faith as My Foundation

My faith has always been the foundation of my life, a guiding light that has given me strength during moments of adversity. From an early age, I learned to trust that God’s plan is always greater than my understanding. It’s this trust that has allowed me to persevere through my own struggles—whether it was navigating the difficulties of being a single mother, overcoming trauma, or finding purpose after seasons of doubt.

When I decided to create Awaken Your Lioness Spirit, it wasn’t just a career decision. It was a calling that I felt deeply in my spirit, a mission placed on my heart by God to help women rediscover their strength and voice, no matter their past. I knew that my life experiences, both the hardships and the blessings, were preparing me to fulfill this purpose.

Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

There are many moments in life where we feel uncertain, where the path ahead is unclear. But 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” I’ve learned that I don’t need to have all the answers, nor do I need to understand every step along the way. What I do need is to trust in God’s provision and guidance.

This mindset has shaped how I approach the women I serve. Many of them are coming from places of deep pain—trauma, addiction, or incarceration. They may not see a way forward, but I encourage them to have faith, to trust that God is still writing their story. Just as He has been faithful in my life, He is faithful in theirs.

Serving with Purpose

One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This scripture is not just a promise for me, but for every woman I work with. God has a purpose for each one of them, and my mission is to help them rediscover that purpose.

Through our trauma recovery coaching, I remind women that their past does not define them. Their mistakes, hardships, and even moments of doubt do not disqualify them from God’s love and their future potential. By sharing my own testimony of faith and resilience, I hope to inspire them to see beyond their circumstances and to trust in the divine plan for their lives.

Empowerment Through God’s Grace

Empowerment, to me, is not just about reclaiming one’s life—it’s about understanding that we are empowered by God’s grace. It’s through His grace that we can rise after falling, that we can heal after being hurt, and that we can love ourselves after seasons of brokenness.

When I work with women, I encourage them to lean on God’s strength, especially when they feel weak. I remind them of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Whether they are rebuilding their lives after incarceration, healing from trauma, or simply seeking a fresh start, they can do it because they are not doing it alone. God is with them every step of the way, just as He has been with me.

Faith in Action

My faith isn’t just something I keep to myself—it’s the driving force behind everything I do at Awaken Your Lioness Spirit. It’s what motivates me to keep going, even when the road gets tough. It’s what allows me to extend grace, compassion, and understanding to the women I serve. And it’s what reminds me that every life has value, every woman has a purpose, and every story can be redeemed.

At the end of the day, my mission is not about me—it’s about glorifying God through the work I do. It’s about helping women see themselves as God sees them: strong, capable, and deserving of love and redemption. My prayer is that through this work, more women will come to know the fullness of God’s love and the incredible plans He has for their lives.

Trusting God’s Plan

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that trusting in God’s plan is a lifelong journey. There will always be challenges, but there will also always be grace. I am humbled every day by the opportunity to serve women through Awaken Your Lioness Spirit, and I know that everything I do is guided by God’s hand.
